Photos: Evangelist Arrested For Drug Trafficking As NDLEA Sniffer Dogs Detect 1.4Billion Drug In Apapa

A South Africa-based Evangelist has been arrested for attempting to export 165kilograms of narcotic drugs to South Africa in two container seized at Apapa Seaport terminal.
The methamphetamine and ephedrine drugs were detected by NDLEA sniffing dogs inside packs of foodstuff and cosmetics.
NDLEA officers successfully traced the illicit drug kept inside containers marked MSKU 388274-1 and MSKU 424717-0 to 52-year-old Evangelist John Vincent Arinze in his hotel room in Ikeja. A brand new Mercedes Benz Jeep was seized from the suspect at the time of his arrest.
The suspect who hailed from Ara village in Nise area of Awka said he took over the drug trafficking business from his late wife.
Here is his confessional statement:
“I am an evangelist living in Durban South Africa. My late wife was into drug trafficking before she died a few years ago. I made a mistake venturing into her business. It is all my fault,”.
NDLEA said Evangelist John Arinze will soon be charged to court.
