So, Bob said he’ll be retiring, but his party added that he’ll still be contesting next year’s elections and should he win – hmmmm – he’ll stay on until 2023 just one year short of 100 years old. He told supporters that he’s finally “defeated… the British and Americans…” adding that he’s not blind to the people’s suffering.
Mugabe and his allies have, for more than a decade now, harped on about the West’s plans on regime change in Zim. But eNCA reports that a senior Western diplomat recently said there’s very little interest from the UK’s side in Zim and that the USA has “zero political and economic interest in Zimbabwe.”
The aged statesman told those willing to listen – or should we say able to, as his power base is pretty much a geriatrics club – that Zim has yet-unexplored wealth, but a financial analyst based in the capital doesn’t seem to agree.
