Scientists always work round the clock to come up with solutions to human problems.
This time, we have a USB device that you can use to check your HIV virus status, made by scientists at Imperial College London and tech firm DNA Electronics.

All you need is a simple drop of blood to measure HIV-1 levels. The device then creates an electrical signal that is fed into a computer, laptop, or handheld device.
The device is accurate, according to the scientists, and produces results within 30 minutes.

The new innovation aims to help patients in remote regions across the world, where more standard HIV tests are inaccessible. However, distribution of the device is yet to begin.
