It will not be fair to talk about stuff guys borrow from their friends on campus without talking about those of the girls right?
The thing with the girls is that they borrow practically everything including underwear. Yes, you heard me right, underwear. If you think we are exaggerating, be around when they get into a fight and see what one of them will demand from the other. lol
We know each of us can’t buy everything we need in life but must everything be borrowed? Whatever happened to living within your means?
Anyway, below are ridiculous things girls borrow from their friends on campus.
1. Brassier
This is not even something up for discussion. Why on earth will you want to wear a bra that your friend has already worn? How much is a brassier and who will see that you’re even wearing that type of brassiere if you think it’s a designer and it’s a certain class? Unless it’s to impress a boy right?
2. Panties
Just like a bra, girls borrow panties from their friends too. It could be new unused ones or used ones. They either ask for it or just take them. Ones again, how much is a panty on the market? With a few cash at hand, you can get yourself a beautiful pantie, so why borrow? Plus do you consider the health implications?
3. Makeup Kit
Original makeup kits are quite expensive but they give the best result so girls borrow makeup kits from their friends. The thing is, makeup kits harbour a lot of bacteria due to continues use without washing so when you borrow a friend’s kit, you’re practically carrying whatever skin condition they may have unto your own skin. Buy your own kits.
4. Shoes
For class, lunch date, dinner date, clubbing etc. girls will borrow one shoe or the other from their friends. It’s a normal thing for them just like the guys.
5. Wig Caps or Weaves
Once again another ridiculous thing to borrow. Your friend used it, it was nice, they have a new one now so why not, you want the used one. This is a very common thing on university campuses. Very good weaves are expensive so ones a friend buys one, some of her friends tell her in advance that if she changes them, they are interested. There are also girls with a lot of these weaves and caps which they change time to time so their friends borrow from them.
6. Jeans/Leggings/Tops
“Akua give me that your red top eh”, “Can I have your black skinny jeans”, “I want that sea blue shirt” etc. etc……These are common conversations among girlfriends in the university. The funny thing is, when they wear them, their other friends immediately see that they are wearing a friends clothes but these girls don’t mind. I guess the flex and swag are more important to these girls than their reputation.
7. Bags
They borrow clothes, shoes, makeup, why not bags? They need it to complete their fake fashion outlook. It could be a small bag, big bag, designer, ordinary, purse, ones it’s owned by a friend and it’s nice, they must also use it.
8. Sanitary Pad
This is obviously an unused one. The question I always ask is this, how much is it? It cost next to nothing, and these girls cannot tell me they can not afford it. I know someone will say maybe emergency but the thing is, you know every month you’ll have it so shouldn’t you have some around all the time? Those who borrow these from friends do them on regular occasions and that’s what makes it more ridiculous.
9. Sunglasses
I mean if you have those glamorous sunglasses, you’re definitely not going to use them alone…lol…Sunglasses are the ish lately. One needs to have a couple of them to take that swag up the roof. This is another fashion accessory that ladies borrow in school a lot.
10. Food Items
From beverages to ingredients for soup and stew, university girls borrow from their friends. She wants to prepare some stew, no spice, she heads off to her friends’ room to get some Maggi. These are quite inexpensive items which can be bought by these girls so I wonder why they’ll rather be borrowing them from friends, and they do them almost everytime they need to prepare something.
