Exclusive footage shows how Michael Sandford prepared the day before by going to a shooting rank and using same sort of weapon as local police carry
In CCTV footage – obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com – mentally ill Michael Sandford is seen plugging 20 rounds in to a target at the range during a $29 training session.
Sandford was arrested in a dramatic scenes the following day at a Trump rally in a Las Vegas casino on June 18 after going for the police officer’s weapon as he asked for Donald Trump’s autograph.
He told police he had plotted to assassinate the Republican presidential candidate for a year and believed he would die during the bid.
